Treadway & Percy SohamPaddock street brewery sohamOn the left shows Treadway & Percy: The picture shows their Churchgate Street Shop which sold wine and spirits. Their Brewery being situated off the East end of Brewhouse Lane just of Paddock Street, which they had taken over from the Cutlacks Brewers from the 1890's to c.1925. The shop or public house was also known as the Saracens Head belonging to the brewery.


Cutlacks Ely in SohamThe old Brewery in Paddock Street shown on the right is possibly the one owned by Treadway & Percy, now in residential use, Paddock Street also contained two large Malt houses nearby, shown on a map of 1886. Further research needs to be done to find out who owned which premises.

On the left shows Cutlack & Harlock Ltd Quay Brewery, Ely Cambs. Delivering beer to the Red Lion.
