Death Notice
Death
of Mr George Hills. The Death occurred on Christmas Eve of Mr George
Hills of Soham. Mr Hills was 69 , and took part in the Boar War and
often delighted his Friends with stories of his adventures in South
Africa, the Funeral takes place at Soham Cemetery at 2pm this ( Friday
) afternoon.

Obituary
The Funeral of Mr G Hills.
The
internment of the late Mr George Hills took place in Soham Cemetery on
Saturday Afternoon. The Rev.P.F.Boughey Officiating, the late Mr Hills
who was a well known and respected Smallholder had been in failing
health for some considerable time, he was removed to
Addenbrooks
Hospital for treatment about 2 months before his death, which occurred
at the Hospital on December 24th, much sympathy has been expressed for
the Widow, Son and two Daughters, who are left to mourn their loss.
The

Hayhoe, Eric Isaacson, W Wake, J Summers, Mrs J Leonard, Miss Langly,
and other Friends. Floral tributes were sent by, His loving Wife and

Neighbours. The Oak coffin was inscribed George Hills Died December
24th 1940 aged 69 years.
