Obituary
Many People in Soham were saddened to hear of the sudden death of 37
year old Mr Peter John Webb, in Addenbrookes New Hospital.
Born
in London, he was one of three Sons and a Daughter born to Mr &
Mrs
W. C. Webb. The Family were evacuated to Soham when Mr Webb was five
years old. He did all his Schooling ay the Boys School at
Townsend, and on leaving School went to work at Messrs Clark &
Butchers. When he did his National Service Mr Webb was in the Royal
Artillery, and spent time in Germany. For the past nine years he has
been employed in the cabinet shop of Eccles Caravans.
He was a
member of The Soham Town Football Club, and also the Rendezvous Club.
Fishing was his main hobby, but being a skilled Carpenter, he was
always busy making things for his home. Mr Webb Married his Wife,
formerly Miss Shirley Rayner, at St Andrews Church, Soham in March
1960, and they have two young Daughters.
The Funeral Service at
Soham Cemetery on Thursday was conducted by The Curate, The Rev. Ian
Woodroffe, and the immediate Family Mourners present were.
