contained in his Will, conveyed to the Rev. H. Tasker and his
successors, Vicars of Soham for the time being, an annuity of £10. per

redeemed, upon trust, to apply the same in the maintenance of a Sunday
School at Soham, to be regulated by the Vicar.
The first payment was made in June 1834.
The
School is attended by upwards of 100 Girls, and an average of 50 Boys.
They are instructed, gratis, in reading and religious knowledge, and
the attendance is very regular. The further expenses have been defrayed
by the Rev. H. Tasker, the Vicar, with the assistance of a collection
at a charity sermon, and a benefaction of £3. 3s. given by the Will of
his mother. The School is open to all the Parish, but is principally
attended by the children of the poorer classes.
