At
a Court holden 16th April 1714, for the Manor of Netherhall Wygorne,
James Webb, and Bridget his wife, surrendered a house in Brook-street,
in trust for the poor.
On 12th July 1792, James Merist, William Peachey, John Waddington, and
Francis Bagge, all since deceased, were admitted tenants. A warrant of
seizure has been since issued, but the property will be granted upon
application. The house has long been down, and the site, consisting of
only four perches of fair land, is let for 5s. per annum to the owner
of an adjoining garden.
The rent has been paid to the poor by Bond's trustees, and applied with
the rest of their funds.
