The India & China Tea Co. shown in the top  left photo at the top of Brook Dam Lane in the High Street opposite the Red Lion shown in the early part of the 19th century, selling everything from fruit to preserving sugar & Shaws Cocoa, by 1927 they had moved to what is now Palmer's fruit & vegetable shop opposite the war memorial, in Red Lion Square just around the corner. 

The Soham Post Office shown in the photo on the right taking on their former premises on the corner of Brook Dam Lane in the late 1920's, today and for several years the premises have been the home to Sergio's Italian Restaurant, shown in the photo on the bottom left.
