The right hand photo leads you to Qua Fen Common, the turning on the right leading to The Queensway Estate.

Bushel Lane is situated of Hall Street and runs to Qua Fen Common. Shown on a map of 1656 being named Holmes Lane, with Holmes Closes situated on the left hand side towards the bottom  of the lane abutting onto Qua Fen Common, then on a map of 1841 and 1886 it was shown as Qua Fen Lane and later becoming Bushel Lane after the Bushel and Strike Pub. In 1960 the Council erected a row of houses on one side of the Lane, with a large amount of new houses towards the bottom on the right hand side occupying the old site of Humans Builders Merchants.
