Greenhills
is situated at the Southern end of Brook Street, the Lane is Shown on a
map of 1656 in the same position leading to an area known as a Common
called Soham Moore, its name then was Green Hille at the junction with
Brook Street with the lane being called Greenway Lane. The lane is a no
through road leading to pasture land.
The
photo on the left is looking across the fields at the end of the
Greenhills Lane.
On the right shows a short drove at the end of Greenhills Lane leading
to Lofty's Bridge over the Soham Lode, an area known locally as Lofty's.
