The photo on the left was taken looking towards Hall Street. 
The one on the right was taken from the junction with Mereside showing the home of  Soham Town Rangers Football Club in the foreground to the right, also looking towards Hall Street.

Julius Martin Lane is situated between Mereside and Hall Street called the same in 1902, in 1656 the lane was called Bullards Lane, leading from Hall Street towards the Mere to an area called The Mere Bank Common (Mereside today).
