Kents Lane sohamKents Lane sohamKents Lane is situated at the end of Paddock Street near Cross Green, it is a  short lane leading into an area called The Weatheralls. It was shown still in the same position in 1902 but in 1656 it was shown going a lot further into Calfe Fenn Closes on the left with Netherhall Closes on the right, The Weatheralls was not mentioned. It was then named Calfe Fenn Lane.
Kents Lane sohamThe photo top left shows the entrance on the right from Paddock Street with Cross Green showing in the distance, the photo on the right was taken looking towards Paddock Street and is just wide enough to get a vehicle down, with the Weatheralls School over the hedge on the right and the Esstern Avenue Estate on the left.
The last photo shows Kents Lane as a drove leading of towards the Soham bypass, although it is a no through road, on the left it shows what is now allotments, but would have been part of Calfe Fenn Closes.
