Pratt street sohamPratt street sohamPratt Street lies to the North adjoining Cross Green, so named by 1466, shown on a map of 1656 when it was inhabited by 20 houses. Probably named after the family of Mabilla and Thomas Prat who once lived there.
The photo on the left shows the old Bushel & Strike pub in the far distance where Pratt Street joins Hall Street.


Pratt Street sohamPratt street sohamThe photo on the left was taken c.1930 from Cross Green looking North along Pratt Street, the junction on the left was where the Village pump once stood, this lane was at that time called Pump Lane, now known as Station Road as it leads down to the old railway station. Pratt Street also gives you access to The Wetherall School.
