The photo on the left was taken from Fordham Road looking down Regal Lane, the turning at the bottom takes you to Brook Street.

Regal Lane is a short Lane with Fordham Road at one end and Brook Street the other, shown on a map of 1656 called Malin Lane leading to Malins Meadow, in 1841 it was called Drain Lane, now home to a Industrial Estate developed in the 1970's.
It was probably named after the old Regal Cinema that closed in Town.
