ADDING YOUR OWN PHOTOS TO THIS WEBSITE

If you would like to contribute to Photo Box, you can either send us your photos via Email
with a description and we will add them for you, we will name you as the contributor.
or
If you live local, then why not contact us,  
Email Julie or Tim Webb, your local historians and genealogists,
we can always arrange collection and scan them for you returning the
originals back to you asap.
or
You can request a password to an Album so as you can upload your own photos.

UPLOADING YOU OWN PHOTOS

If you prefer to upload your own photos, please note that there is an upload limit of  c.75kb per image,
although we would prefer if you kept to around 50kb per image, this will help internet loading speeds.
Image width and height should be no more than around 1000 pixels on the longest edge.
Although we do understand that in some cases it is impossible to keep to the above guidelines
when editing photos, and will make allowances.
Please include your email with every photo submitted in case someone wishes to contact you.
PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS A SAFE SITE FOR ALL AGES
UNSUITABLE IMAGES WILL BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY.

Nearly all photo editing software will compress and resize photos for internet use, if you do not have
this software, there are plenty of free software programmes on the internet that you can download
for free, one free programme we have used that is free to download is "ShrinkImages 1" by Walter Steed,
available from www.download.com, This tool can be used to shrink your images, both in dimension and
physical size (on disk). Select the max width/height (or choose no size reduction). Change the compression
percentage. Have the program overwrite the original file or create a new one.
Works with .jpg, .gif, .bmp or .tif/tiff.
